Marty started playing guitar at the age of 12 he has played in a number of
bands, been live on TV and radio and has vast studio and session
experience. His playing experience spans over 28 years and his
performing 26.

Where the lessons are held..
Marty tends to teach from a designated room in his Norwich home where there is a wide variety of resources available. But Marty can also travel to the students’ place of residence.

He is incredibly passionate about music and really enjoys seeing the
progression of budding and frustrated musicians. Music being second
nature in his life Marty has a comprehensive knowledge of music theory
and a fantastic sense of enthusiasm while he is playing so has developed
his teaching to pass his knowledge and enthusiasm on. Marty gained a
very respectful Distinction in the 'Music Educators' programme
(equivalent to five 'A' levels) in 2009, also achieving a PTTLS
qualification at the same time. He has continued live performances,
worked with The NR5 project and also with Access-2-Music, Norwich.
